Frequently Asked Questions

An Electronic cigarette consists of a clearomiser/atomiser and a battery. The battery provides power and the clearomiser accommodates e-liquid to be evaporated. Inside the clearomiser there is a coil, this is made with wire and cotton which enables the battery to function properly and produce vapour.

E-liquid is formed by mixing Vegetable Glycerine (VG), Propylene Glycol (PG), Flavourings and some may contain Nicotine. All e-liquids sold on our website and in store are compliant and are lab approved before being sold. The beauty of e-liquids is that there are many flavours available, we have categorised the types of flavour profiles to make it easier to pick. If you need any help, feel free to reach out to us via web-chat or even pop into one of our stores.

Choosing an electronic cigarette is pretty tricky, people are often on the lookout for that perfect setup and with new devices being released weekly it can take a lot of trial and error. However, we recommend the following for those that are searching:

If you are an occasional smoker smoking less than 10 cigarettes a day or would like to use an electronic cigarette to do the transition, then we recommend a starter kit without any settings. A simple kit called the Aspire Pockex AIO (All in One).

If you are a moderate smoker that’s smoking around 10 to 20 cigarettes per day and in search for a simple kit, we would highly recommend the Aspire K3. If you are looking for a kit with a display and the ability to control the power output (wattage), we would recommend the iStick Pico X or Zelos 50w 2.0.

If you are a heavy smoker that is smoking more than 20 cigarettes a day, we advise using a pod system kit. These are easy to use, simple plug and play, battery should last all day and will mimic the feeling of a traditional cigarette. In addition to this, we advise the CB-80 Kit. This is due to the type of coils you receive with the kit, both for Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) and Direct-to-Lung (DL/DTL) users which will enable the user to try out different vaping styles.

For those that want to switch to vaping to help quit smoking, we recommend using a Mouth-to-Lung tank, these are great for throat hit and longer battery life.

As a beginner, it is preferred to start off with a simple kit that doesn’t have many functions. We recommend going for a kit that has a high resistance coil (1.00ohm – 1.8ohm) as these will be perfect for a throat hit that will mimic the sensation of smoking a traditional cigarette. This could be a pen style kit or a pod system kit. These devices are ideal for liquids that are 50PG as the liquid will be thin enough to travel to the coil.

Unlike traditional cigarettes, the electronic cigarette does not produce tar or combustion. According to Public Health England, electronic cigarettes are 95% less harmful than a traditional cigarette.

The health advantage for former smokers is that electronic cigarettes will re-activate your taste-buds and will improve your appetite. We do not recommend e-liquids containing nicotine for pregnant women.

Multiple studies show the reduced risk associated to vaping compared to smoking cigarettes. With the electronic cigarette, there is no combustion of nicotine or other products. The risks have reduced by 95% according to certain experts and the number of vapers that reduced or completely stopped the traditional cigarette have increased when they switched to vaping.

We advise a model that will meet your requirements and reasons for vaping. If you would like to imitate the sensation of smoking, we recommend a mouth to lung tank as this will give you a pleasurable throat hit and great flavour. If you wish to know more details, ask for advice on our live chat or come into one of our stores, we are always happy to help.

Box style mods are simple to use and have a longer battery life then a pen style mod as these usually require 2 x 18650 batteries. Make sure to read the user manual! This type of mod is usually for those that want to purchase a second device for backup or improved performance.

Due to EU/UK Law (2016), it is not permitted to vape in the workplace and other public places. If you are in your workplace, ask your manager and colleagues if you can vape there, if so then we recommend a pod system as this is more discreet.

We recommend a starter kit that comes with a sub-ohm tank and a variable wattage device, being a box mod or pen style mod. In order to create clouds, you would need to make sure your coil’s resistance is 0.5ohm or below and set your mod at around 70+ watts, however, all is down to personal preference. In addition to this, you would need to use a liquid that is of 60VG or higher. VG produces thicker and denser vapour which is smoother on the throat

This is a tricky question, it all depends on how frequent you use your electronic cigarette. You would need to consider other factors such as purchasing of eliquids and coils. If you consume a high amount of e-liquid, you might want to consider making your own e-liquid (DIY). This will save you money in the long run, however, premium liquids are premium for a reason. To save even more money, you could look at using a Rebuildable Dripping Atomiser (RDA), however, this would require you some advance knowledge as these could be dangerous if not used correctly.
